Siamo stati selezionati per la V edizione dell’Esposizione di Artetessile Contemporanea ARTEXTURES, organizzata dall’Associazione nazionale francese FRANCE PATCHWORK.

La giuria ha selezionato quarantadue opere scelte tra gli artisti di tutto il mondo.

La mostra è partita dal XV Carrefour del Patchwork a Saint Marie aux Mines, in Alsazia, e si svilupperà in numerose sedi francesi; attualmente si sta svolgendo vicino a Parigi dal 25 Settembre fino al 3 Gennaio 2010.

L’opera selezionata, e con cui partecipiamo, è intitolata

ATTRAVERSANDO IL PO , dimensioni 160 x 140 cm.

Costituita da tre teli trasparenti di organza su cui si sviluppa l’intreccio di rami e di foglie; i rami sono formati da filati di nostra composizione, e le  foglie sono state ottenute per impressione della tela  di seta su stampi materici realizzati da noi appositamente; successivamente le foglie sono state tinteggiate con materiali utilizzati nel restauro, e infine ricamate per arricchirle di colore.

ARTEXTURE
They have been selected for the V edition of the Artetessile Contemporary ARTEXTURES, organized by the French National Assembly FRANCE PATCHWORK.
The jury selected forty-two works by artists around the world.
The exhibition is part of the fifteenth Patchwork Carrefour Saint Marie aux Mines, Alsace, and will develop in many French sites; it currently is being held near Paris from September 25 until January 3, 2010.
Our selected work is entitled
“Attraversando il PO” (“Crossing the Po river”), dimensions 160 x 140 cm .
This work is composed by three sheets of transparent organza on which the network of branches and leaves has been developed; the branches are formed by yarns of our composition, and the leaves has been obtained by the impression of silk cloth on molds  made by us, and specially textured; finally we painted the leaves with materials used in restoration, and then embroidered them to enrich their color.
