CONCEPT
ROMA 3000 Ispirata alla scoperta del sistema TRAPPIST-1, narra la “Grande Migrazione” dell’umanità. Roma 3000 viene clonata e trasportata nello spazio, ma l’anima della civiltà non segue la materia. I monumenti appaiono deformi e degradati: gusci vuoti di una grandezza passata che la tecnologia può copiare, ma non radicare. Roma 3000È la rappresentazione visiva di un adattamento incompleto, dove la cultura soffre la mancanza di identità.

CONCEPT
Inspired by the discovery of the TRAPPIST-1 system, this work narrates humanity’s “Great Migration.” Rome is cloned and transported into space, yet the soul of civilization fails to follow the physical matter. The monuments appear deformed and degraded: empty shells of a past grandeur that technology can replicate but cannot root. It is the visual representation of an incomplete adaptation, where culture suffers from a profound lack of identity.
Ispirata alla scoperta del sistema TRAPPIST-1, l’opera narra il trasloco dei monumenti romani nello spazio. Attraverso trame tridimensionali, i DAMSS mostrano gusci vuoti e simulacri deformi: una critica alla tecnologia che può clonare la materia, ma non l’anima di una civiltà.
Inspired by the TRAPPIST-1 discovery, this work depicts the relocation of Roman monuments into space. Through 3D textures, DAMSS reveals empty shells and deformed simulacra: a critique of technology that can clone matter but not the soul of a civilization.
